The benefits of Fedora Core

The 'stable' nature of the Fedora distros is a key component to our pledge to provide clients with reliable and uninterrupted service. As touched on above, stable Linux platforms offer much greater reliability and usability compared with less developed options.

If a Linux version is classed as stable, users can be assured that the software has been highly developed and tested by a reassuringly large community of experienced Linux developers.

Furthermore, the inevitable glitches and bugs that appear in Linux software development are identified and resolved on stable platforms and as a well-established, popular variation, stable Linux software is also cutting edge, incorporating the best of what is new in Linux programming.

In contrast non-stable Linux platforms represent much greater risk. Their applications have not been vigorously tested and they are prone to be blighted by bugs that disrupt their operation.

Users that opt for non-stable versions run the risk of faltering software that can delay processes, result in lost data or even platform collapse.

Fedora Core is also a good bet with regard to future development. Building on the points made just above, its stable nature and extensive support network ensures that it quickly adapts to the changing Linux environment.

When innovation inevitably occurs, Fedora Core users can be assured that they can incorporate the benefits quickly. So Fedora Core offers the responsiveness to grow and adapt with a business year to year.

But Fedora Core is not the only well-established and stable Linux operating system around. So why do we prefer it to the other contenders? Ubuntu is a good example to compare with as it mirrors Fedora in many ways.

Like Fedora, Ubuntu is a very popular, free Linux system that developed out of a major distro branch (in its case Debian). It offers many of Fedora's benefits including versatility.

The reality is that Fedora Core is not preferable to Ubuntu or any other major, stable Linux operating system in the main. All offer the strengths to provide a quality service.

We simply use Fedora Core because it is most suitable for its working procedures. It offers slightly better accessibility with more control panels built in and updates are more regular.

Therefore Fedora Core offers the reassurance that we are working with bang up to date Linux code with an interface that meets its hectic daily work schedule.
